What Hollywood calls the heart is actually the bowels or belly. The word "discover" is used at least a couple of ways in the Holy Bible KJV. 1 is how we use it. 2 is how it is used in Deuteronomy 22:30, which is a command against a very depraved sex-sin. In it, "discover" seems to mean "take off to discover something underneath".

Don't try to discover your heart. It's like color tinted glasses trying to figure out how colorful they are. And don't try to go digging beneath the core of your mind.
